SYNOPSIS
Malcolm Reid, a devoted Caribbean financier, learns he has been fired for a mistake he did not make—just after he picks up Elaine Thomas, a sharp-witted lawyer, for their first date. While he struggles with the weight of his family's reliance on him, Elaine—skeptical of relationships after years of disappointment—finds herself drawn to his quiet resilience. As their conversation deepens in the intimacy of Malcolm's car, what starts as an awkward blind date turns into a moment of vulnerability, connection, and unexpected possibilities.

About the Director
A Jamaican-American Filmmaker and Technology Executive, Horane began his film journey as on screen talent for a local community station series. He fell in love with the process of filmmaking and started his own production company with his childhood best friend. Over the past 12+ years, Horane has worn many hats for his production company, from Directing, to Executive Producing and Producing internationally recognized projects for the likes of ESPN, Jamaica Tourist Board, Puma, Red Bull and other clients. Horane has won over 15 awards for independent films. His most recent project, “Raw Materials” is Jamaica’s first film to win an African Academy Award as well as become Oscar qualified film from Jamaica. Horane is passionate about bringing underrepresented Caribbean filmmakers and storylines to light. Horane is also part owner of a children’s Edu-tainment brand, The Cool Reeds, offers a treasure trove of literary adventures that will spark joy and inspire young minds He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology and a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Technology Management, both from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
