About the Director
Sultan Ali Jr. is an award-winning director and producer from Harlem, passionate about redefining storytelling. Growing up in diverse cultures shaped his unique perspective, inspiring him to challenge media stereotypes & images through his inclusive narratives. A Brooklyn College graduate with a degree in Film Production, Sultan has directed films screened at local and international festivals, including a short created during his fellowship with Red Bull Studios and Ghetto Film School, which earned multiple nominations. As the founder of 1995 Pictures, a creative agency - he focuses on crafting impactful & engaging projects that amplify underrepresented voices.
