Islands

Islands is an eerie, raw, honest, and metaphoric animated short film, made to accompany the song “Islands” by Brooklyn musician Ski Team. From rising waters to spreading gooey textures, it’s a series of vignettes representing the Jersey Shore in its worst light—with record-setting rising sea levels and opioid death toll—but the profound beauty and peace that exists there nonetheless. The music video celebrates things that make us feel alive while reflecting on what happens when there’s too much of it.
