About the Director

For Mikey T, film is more than entertainment—it is a powerful medium with the ability to shift perspectives and spark dialogue. He is dedicated to creating stories that not only reflect the richness of Jamaican culture but also serve as catalysts for conversations that can change the world.
*Mikey T* was born in the United States but proudly embraces his Jamaican heritage (TRN & passport always ready to prove it). In 2018, after a conversation with a close friend, he became determined to change the way Jamaica was being perceived in media. That moment inspired him to begin production on his first film, _Jamaica Story_, which launched a six-year journey of learning the craft of filmmaking and documenting the experiences of Jamaicans across the globe.
