Block Description

A dream does not fade simply because life asks us to put it aside. It persists through years of sacrifice, family conflict, and the fear that choosing ourselves might cost us the people we love. The films in Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop explore the collision of musical ambition and family loyalty, as two aspiring voices fight to be heard by those closest to them. A rapper’s homecoming reopens old wounds while offering a chance to nurture the next generation’s creativity; a mother’s long-awaited debut meets resistance from her own daughter. Together, these stories ask who gets permission to pursue a dream, whose sacrifices make that pursuit possible, and whether there is room to honor both our ambitions and the bonds that bring us home.
